The power-model constants (Kc1.1, mc, unit power) are class-typical values for the ISO material group, used only for a rough spindle-power estimate. Only their relative ordering and internal consistency are verified, never tuned to match any vendor.
Notes
4340 is a tough nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel used for highly stressed parts. Values are for the annealed/pre-hard condition; hardened 4340 runs slower. Power-model constants: Kc1.1 and mc are class-typical values; unit HP is derived from Kc, not independently published.
