Notes
12L14 is a leaded, resulfurized free-machining steel that cuts faster and cleaner than plain 1018, which is why it is favored for high-volume screw-machine work. Power-model constants: Kc1.1 and mc are class-typical values; unit HP is derived from Kc, not independently published.
